ANNA MARIA Receive the Shlyager Roku (Hit of the Year) Award for Their Contribution to Ukrainian Song at Home and Abroad

On April 29, the annual Shlyager Roku (Hit of the Year) music awards took place at the October Palace concert hall in Kyiv. The duo ANNA MARIA opened the concert with the premiere of their song "Ya Maiu Zhyty" ("I Have to Live"). The powerful, uplifting performance was made even more moving when fifty children joined the sisters on stage. "It's deeply symbolic, because we all have to live — we have people and reasons to live for. And there is still so much wonderful ahead of us," the sisters wrote on their social media. From the stage, Anna and Maria also thanked Ukraine's defenders. ANNA MARIA received the Shlyager Roku award for their contribution to the development of Ukrainian song both at home and around the world. The honor was presented to the sisters by People's Artist of Ukraine Olha Sumska and Honored Artist of Ukraine, singer Tetiana Piskarova.
