The unforgettable New Year’s show “The Country’s Main Christmas Tree” took place on the stage of the National Opera of Ukraine, and the whole country watched it on the holiday evening. A number filled with magic, incredibly elaborate sets and special effects. And yet the main special effect remains the artists’ emotions on stage. Anna and Maria’s stunning vocals were complemented by the breathtaking, stirring dance of Kateryna Kukhar and Oleksandr Stoyanov, principal dancers of the Opera theatre. ANNA MARIA performed a song that UNESCO has recognized as a masterpiece of the twentieth century.

And Kateryna Kukhar and Oleksandr Stoyanov told the touching story of two people in love whom nothing on Earth can tear apart!
“We were nervous before the performance, because we had no time at all to rehearse the number together — the four of us met for the first time on stage. On the day of the shoot we had only just flown in from Budapest, where we had a concert, and Kateryna and Oleksandr flew in from Poland, where they had a performance. But everything came together, thank God. And the audience’s reaction left no doubt that the number was a success!” Anna says.

Exclusive holiday numbers were also presented by the nation’s favorite artists — MONATIK, Loboda, Oleh Vynnyk, Sofia Rotaru, Max Barskih, Vlad Sytnik, Vitaliy Kozlovskyi, Iryna Bilyk, Ani Lorak, Volodymyr Hryshko, Nikita Lomakin, Freedom Jazz, Zlata Ognevich and many others. Every viewer, wherever they were, spent the evening at the Opera together with the artists. A good New Year’s Eve was guaranteed!
Which means the New Year 2020 is bound to be a good one too!
