ANNA MARIA Release Two Music Videos at Once for the Song My Road

Like many of ANNA MARIA’s other works, this video is filled with meaning and symbols. The release came in two languages: English and Ukrainian. In the Ukrainian version the song is titled “Na Svitlo” (“Into the Light”). The song “My Road” was entered in Ukraine’s national selection for Eurovision 2019. ANNA MARIA: “This song and this video answer many of the questions we have been asking ourselves lately. We ask: ‘Who writes the script of our days and of our life as a whole? And does that script, invented by someone else, make us happy? Is it really what we want?’ We have never played by other people’s scripts and never will. We choose our own path. And we will not let anyone dictate to us how to live, what to think or what to say. We are the directors of our own lives. The script of our life is built on kindness, love and core values. On the desire to unite. There is no room in it for hatred or evil. How the film ends and what comes next depends on us alone. In this we see ourselves, we see each one of us, we see our people and the whole world.” In format, the video is more like a short film — with its own plot, intrigue, climax and vivid characters. Just as the song carries the emotion of overcoming, that same spirit was present on the shoot itself. A unique 1978 Mercedes took part in the filming. The video was directed by the young and talented Yuriy Dvizhon. It is his second work for ANNA MARIA. Their first collaboration was the video for “Chomu” (“Why”).
