ANNA MARIA Dedicated Their New Music Video to All the Cities of Ukraine

On October 13, Kyiv glowed with lights — 365 light bulbs were lit on the set of the new ANNA MARIA video for the song “Tvoie Misto” (“Your City”). This single marks a new stage in their creative journey: for the first time, viewers will see every member of the band on screen. For six months now, sisters Anna and Maria have been recording new material and performing with their musicians — a full-fledged band has taken shape. Filming lasted several weeks and wrapped up on Trukhaniv Island, where the paths of all the video's characters converged. They are young people from different subcultures — progressive, creative city dwellers. In this way, the director set out to show that the face of a city is its people — their thoughts, their energy, and their outlook on life. “A city... Your city... You can hear so much in those two words. And each of us will feel something of our own. The video for “Tvoie Misto” shows the city as we see it. From a tiny apartment to a favorite park, cozy lanes and wide-open outskirts. These completely different people — their movement, their glances, their breathing, their energy... It's also about romance, especially in an autumn as magical as this one...” say Anna and Maria. For each of us, “Tvoie Misto” is the city where you were born, where your heart is, where you are happy. For sisters Anna and Maria the song carries a special meaning, since their hometown is Simferopol. The video was directed by Artem Titeev, with Denys Lushchyk as director of photography. The sisters had already worked with this team on their previous video for “Tselovat Drugogo” (“Kissing Another”), a song written for them by Ivan Dorn.
