ANNA MARIA Shot a Short Film for Their Single “Trymai Mene”

The band ANNA MARIA don't release music videos very often, but every piece of work gets a special approach.
This time, for the song “Trymai Mene” (“Hold Me”), the sisters didn't want the standard close-ups and rapid-fire cuts. They shot a genuine short film with a deep message about life, love, and fate. The script was written by director Volodymyr Shpak, and the idea was brought to life by the ANEBO production company.
The shoot featured both children with no previous filming experience — Marho Maliushkina and Dima Kyrychenko — and professional actors Artem Dubnytskyi and Diana Tyshchenko, while the final episode stars People's Artist of Ukraine Nina Hiliarovska, an actress of the Ivan Franko National Theatre.
“Sometimes it seems to us that we plan the events of our lives. But at a certain point comes the understanding that the Universe has a design. Every meeting and every event, even the most minor, was planned by the Universe right down to the circumstances that led to it,” say the singers.
True love doesn't need to be searched for. It will find you itself.
Wherever you are and whatever you do, life will turn in exactly the direction that is meant to be.
“Of course, grown-up, experienced people find it hard to believe that you can live your whole life staying true to your first love,” Anna and Maria share, “but we believe it, and you will feel it in our video... This song was born of great love — the same way children are born. It was written in literally about 10 minutes, with the music arriving at once, together with the lyrics. Afterwards, we didn't change or rework a single note or a single word of the song. Everything remained exactly as it appeared in those 10 minutes. It felt as though some portal had opened and the idea was passed down through a ‘channel.’ We simply wrote it down on paper, and that was it.”
This song is a single from ANNA MARIA's first album, due for release at the end of November.
