Fighting Until Victory: ANNA MARIA Present the Emotional Song and Video "Fighting"

On April 7, the Ukrainian duo ANNA MARIA presented their new single and patriotic music video “Fighting”. In the song, the singers tell of how Ukraine and Ukrainians are fighting today. Of our people – true heroes, thanks to whom our country still stands. The music video features the beloved of one of the sisters (Anna) – Ihor. He is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, defending the country. “We want our people to keep taking confident steps forward, to Victory, to this confident beat! And we want this song to inspire, to energize, to give the strength our people – every one of us – need so much right now,” says ANNA. Watch the video: https://youtu.be/FIxRczeITlk “Above all, it was people who inspired us to write this song: athletes who represented Ukraine with honor on the international stage and raised our flag high; volunteers who give their last to help others; rescuers who risk their lives to save the lives of others; teachers who, even in the hardest conditions, without electricity, find ways to give children knowledge and vital, engaging lessons; and of course the defenders who go into battle with Ukraine’s name on their lips…” adds MARIA. “Today not everyone is a soldier, but everyone is a warrior. Each on their own front. And of course, our defenders, who go into battle with Ukraine’s name on their lips,” say ANNA MARIA. Anna says she deeply respects the choice of her beloved Ihor, who joined the Armed Forces back in the summer of 2022. She is proud of him – but at the same time, of course, she worries about him greatly. “He is away from Kyiv all the time now, on a combat mission. We see each other very rarely… Right up to the end we weren’t sure whether he’d be able to take a couple of days off and take part in the shoot for our video. We are so happy it worked out. Because it was a chance not only to bring the video’s concept to life, but also to hug my beloved. Moments like these are so precious now. We know how many women and girls dream of that embrace from their loved ones,” says Anna. The sisters hope the new song will support people and give them the strength our nation needs so much right now. “No matter how hard it is right now, we do not stop FIGHTING! Because Ukraine is strength. And there is strength in every note of this song. Listen to it! We wrote this song back in the summer. At the time there was only a verse and a chorus. And throughout the year we kept getting so many questions from fans: when will the full version of this song finally come out? We worked on it for a long time. You know, right now, in these conditions, to create, to make something – that in itself is already a victory.”
