ANNA MARIA perform at Pavlo Shylko’s Creative Evening at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine

ANNA MARIA Perform at Pavlo Shylko’s Acoustic Concert Celebrating 30 Years in Music On October 12, an acoustic concert by Pavlo Shylko, widely known as DJ Pasha, took place at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine in Kyiv, celebrating the 30th anniversary of his career in music. The evening featured performances by many renowned Ukrainian artists. The duo ANNA MARIA was among the special guests, delivering a unique musical performance. The sisters behind ANNA MARIA say that they share a long-standing friendship with Pavlo Shylko, as well as many memorable stories from their musical journey together. Pavlo Shylko was one of the first to believe in the future success of their hit song “Бути щасливими”. It was therefore especially symbolic that, at the concert at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the singers performed “Бути щасливими,” blending it with ABBA’s song “Slipping Through My Fingers.” According to ANNA MARIA, it was DJ Pasha’s idea to combine the two songs into a single musical arrangement. Accompanied by an orchestra, the medley took on an even more distinctive and emotional sound. Other artists who took the stage that evening included Pianoбой (Pianoбой), Vlad Darwin, Mila Nitich, Pavlo Tabakov, MELOVIN, Ivan Liulenov, Dima Libra, Marta Adamchuk, and Ineya. The duo ANNA MARIA also shared the story of how they first met Pavlo Shylko and how their professional relationship developed into a close friendship. Maria: “When we were children, we listened to ‘Pasha’s Top 20’ on Gala Radio so often that DJ Pasha’s voice became familiar to us even before we met him in person. We would literally turn on the radio every morning and do our exercises at home to the songs he played. Although we had never met him personally, we could already recognize his voice among thousands of others. We eventually met at a major tribute concert dedicated to the Swedish band ABBA, organized by Pavlo. We immediately felt a special connection. We love him as a person, his taste, his attitude toward music, and the incredible passion with which he embraces it. After that concert, our professional acquaintance grew into a friendship.” Anna: “Over the years, Pasha has become someone very close to us, someone we can trust with our new material and one of the first people we turn to when we have something new to share. That was exactly what happened with ‘Бути щасливими’ — a song that later became one of our most recognizable hits. DJ Pasha immediately recognized its potential. We had shared many of our songs with Pasha. When we played him ‘Бути щасливими’ he immediately said, ‘Girls, this song has every chance of becoming a hit.’ And, as it turned out, he was absolutely right.”
