“Dve Zvezdy” (“Two Stars”): ANNA MARIA Present a Remake of Pugacheva's Legendary Song

“Each of us is a small but such an important and special particle in the endless Universe.
So let us shine! And we can shine when we love.”
The other day, the Ukrainian twin-sister duo ANNA MARIA premiered a music video for the 1980s superhit “Dve Zvezdy” (“Two Stars”).
In ANNA MARIA's interpretation, the song has taken on a completely new sound.
The single “Dve Zvezdy” is a landmark one for the sisters, as it is one of the first songs Anna Maria performed on stage back in their childhood.
You could even say that Anna and Maria's stage career began with this song.
On their social media, they shared a unique video of that childhood performance.
“Those two girls in the video are us.
We are about 10 years old.
And we believe so strongly in our DREAM!
It was one of our first big performances on stage,” wrote Anna and Maria.
The video delighted Anna Maria's followers and sparked a large number of reactions and comments.
In the music video the sisters appear in several stylish looks by Ukrainian designers (KARUNAS Brand, Dafna May, Olha Slon).
The duo's fans are already calling the video “cosmic”.
The video was directed by young Kyiv director Kyrylo Sulyha.
There is a lot of dancing in it: two weeks before the shoot, Anna Maria shared the choreography preparation process from the dance studio.
A huge number of lighting instruments were used for the shoot.
Radiance, brightness, light, a cosmic atmosphere and weightlessness — that is what the duo's new video is all about.
“If the stars are lit, it means someone needs it…”
ANNA MARIA: “For us, “Dve Zvezdy” is an important song of childhood memories, of our first performances on stage, of unshakable self-belief and belief in a dream, and of a lightness you don't want to lose as you grow older.
We really want this song to give you that extraordinary, magical New Year's mood that everyone is missing right now.”
As a reminder, the song “Dve Zvezdy” was written in 1986 by Igor Nikolaev. It was performed by Alla Pugacheva and Vladimir Kuzmin, and the composition became one of the most popular songs in the CIS in the repertoire of both performers.
