Ukrainian singers ANNA MARIA have written a new song dedicated to Ukraine and its children. The composition is titled “Molius” (“I Pray”). When everything inside is boiling with pain, with the horror of this war, with fear and injustice… It pours out into verses and music. “The song “Molius” is truly a cry of the soul! We wrote it very quickly and under very strong emotions. Literally in the first days of the war. We live in Kyiv, and on February 24, like everyone else, we woke up to the sound of sirens and explosions. Our first thought was to protect our children, because Maria has two small children. Many of our friends and acquaintances with children left their homes, fleeing the hotspots where there was shelling and bombing. They had to evacuate, travel by train, endure separation from their loved ones. It is terrifying to imagine what the children of Ukraine have had to live through during these days… It is impossible to recall it without tears. The fear in children's eyes, the confusion about what is happening, the tears in those little eyes. And that terrible word — “war”. It hurts so much that children have learned what it means. Truly, in just a few days they seemed to become adults. Sadly, many children have already lost their parents. It makes you want to cry out to the whole world: “I want all children to live in you, my Ukraine, and without war!” That is when our song was born. We prayed day and night for the Lord to protect Ukraine and protect the children.” “We recorded this song almost entirely at home. Right now there are no studios or microphones, no big stages or costumes… But there is a voice and there is a song. And that is what matters. And we were incredibly surprised that it managed to gather more than 2 million views on Facebook. It spread among people. We received a flood of wonderful words from people from all corners of the world!” say Anna and Maria.
