ANNA MARIA Premiere the Single and Emotional Video "Vir, Moia Divchynko" ("Believe, My Girl")

Ukrainian singers ANNA MARIA have delighted their fans with a new heartfelt track, “Vir, Moia Divchynko” (“Believe, My Girl”). The song and its accompanying video have premiered on music platforms. Sisters Anna and Maria tell the story behind the song: they happened upon a poem online by contemporary Ukrainian poet Natalia Passo. The poem struck them so deeply that they wrote music to the words that very same day. It became a wonderfully spontaneous creative collaboration. ANNA MARIA: “We want ‘Vir, Moia Divchynko’ to become exactly that meaning, those words that can be so important to hear at certain moments in life… So you don’t fold your wings, so you keep on flying, keep on believing… When there is faith, a person is capable of anything. We so want that when things get hard and it feels like the whole world is against you, someone would sit down beside you, hug you and say: ‘Believe, my girl.’” The video features not only sisters Anna and Maria, but also two six-year-old twin sisters who look remarkably like Anna and Maria did as children. They hug, laugh, and grieve together. Most importantly, they always hold hands and support each other. The video also includes exclusive footage from Anna and Maria’s very first performance on stage. There is also plenty of real footage of Anna and Maria as children. The heroines watch projected clips of themselves when they were little, remembering what they dreamed of back then and what they believed in. These images stir a range of emotions in them – joy, tears, sadness, nostalgia. In the video, Anna and Maria appear in very feminine looks, in a bright, airy room against a backdrop of white fabrics billowing in the wind. As a symbolic gesture, at the video’s climax the little twin girls release white doves from their hands. Running through the whole video is one idea – to preserve within yourself a faith as strong as the one you had in childhood. To return to your true self. “We want to dedicate this song to all girls!” say singers Anna and Maria.
