The ANNA MARIA Sisters Give Two Concerts for Ukraine’s Independence Day

The duo ANNA MARIA marked Ukraine’s Independence Day with two big concerts in the Czech Republic (Liberec, Prague). The concerts brought together families from Ukraine who are now living in the Czech Republic, as well as local residents showing their support for Ukraine. The first concert took place on August 24 in Liberec’s main square — Edvard Beneš Square. The whole square filled with Ukrainian symbols and an incredible atmosphere. Anna and Maria performed a program of their best songs and got the entire square singing along. The next concert took place in Prague (Kostel Panny Marie Matky Ustavicne Pomoci). In that concert, the songs of the duo ANNA MARIA were interwoven with poems by Yuliia Berezhko-Kaminska, a poet from Bucha. Anna and Maria shared photos and emotions on their social media: “Thank you, Liberec! Thank you, Prague! We will remember these concerts for Ukraine’s Independence Day in the Czech Republic for a long time to come. A mixture of joy, pain, strength, unity, and hope. Thank you for your warm hearts and hands. We are together!” photo: Karel Kasák
