Ukrainian Duo ANNA MARIA Guest at Laima Vaikule’s Festival in Jurmala

More than 50 artists from 15 countries came together for the Laima Rendezvous music festival. Among them were Ukrainian performers: MONATIK, Nastya Kamenskykh (NK), Max Barskih, Maruv, Alekseev, Misha Romanova, the groups Vremya i Steklo and ANNA MARIA, as well as the Freedom Ballet dance company.
The sisters Anna and Maria were invited to sing at the Rendezvous for the first time.
Anna Maria: “The festival turns five this year. It is wonderful that we made it to the anniversary and became part of this musical celebration!” the artists share. “We are drawn to the festival’s atmosphere: it is unique, all its own. We watched the artists’ performances last year and the year before, and we couldn’t help but notice it. Probably because Laima herself is special. She has always attracted us with her impeccable taste, her daring, her sense of humor and her extraordinary lightness. You can definitely feel it in the festival itself. And then there is the legendary Dzintari concert hall and Jurmala itself. This city was simply made to gather and unite creative people! In fact, we are sure it will be great fun and fascinating both on stage and backstage, and at the parties too!”
In the legendary Dzintari hall, the sisters performed their song “My Road” accompanied by an orchestra. And then, right on stage, they improvised together with the audience and with Latvian star Intars Busulis.
On their Instagram page, the singers shared their impressions of the festival and posted a photo with its host, Laima Vaikule.
