In Their New Video for “Doloniamy,” ANNA MARIA Live Up to Their Championship Title

ANNA MARIA have presented the music video for their hit “Doloniamy” (“With Our Palms”). “This track spread across every radio station like none of our tracks before it,” say ANNA MARIA. “Probably because this song sticks with you from the very first listen. So many people tell us: we keep humming that chorus, we just can't get it out of our heads. And now — here is the video for this song!” The video was directed by Viktor Skuratovskyi, who has dozens of videos for some of the most renowned artists and musicians to his name. But this was his first time working with ANNA MARIA. “Vitya is a very talented director. Since he is a musician himself (a former bassist of Druha Rika), he really felt us, understood what we needed, and managed to bring out the very best in us in this video,” share Anna and Maria. In the video, Anna and Maria dance a lot, and it must be said that the sisters move remarkably well and freely. No surprise there — the red-haired twins train in dance constantly, and they have even become bronze medalists of the Ukrainian hip-hop championship. “At last we had the chance to shoot a dance video — to live up to our championship title, so to speak. We love dancing: it is self-expression, it is freedom!” The choreography for the video was created by Olha Ryzhenko, famous for her work with Mozgi, Vremya i Steklo, and Nastia Kamenskikh. Especially for the video, ANNA MARIA changed their image — the sisters now sport mischievous bangs. Before, the singers could be seen with long hair, with strict buns, or with romantic curls. Stylist Zhenia Kyriienko worked on Anna and Maria's look. The shoot also featured cinematographer Vlad Voronin. Vlad graduated from the New York Film Academy and has shot commercials for Victoria's Secret and L'Oréal. The video was filmed at night in the Atmosfera shopping mall. Once the mall closed its doors to visitors, large-scale filming began — with loud music and jaw-dropping dancing! “Lately we had been shooting videos for lyrical songs. The video for ‘Znaiesh Ty’ (‘You Know’), which we recorded with Milos Jelic. And also the videos for ‘My Skhovaiemos’ (‘We Will Hide’) and ‘Trymai Mene’ (‘Hold Me’). In those videos we lacked the chance to release our energy, to express our drive. And now we have finally been able to do that in the video for ‘Doloniamy,’” say the sisters.
