"Zhyttia Tryvaie" ("Life Goes On"): The Premiere of ANNA MARIA's Symbolic New Song

The Ukrainian duo ANNA MARIA has released a new song, "Zhyttia Tryvaie" ("Life Goes On") — a reminder of what matters most: the inner strength to keep moving forward, and a love strong enough to overcome anything.
The single stands out for its blend of a light, danceable groove with deeply symbolic lyrics.
The duo's previous track, "Buty Shchaslyvymy" ("To Be Happy"), became the soundtrack for thousands of Ukrainians — proof of which can be found in the countless social media videos set to its lyrics (on TikTok alone, there are more than 450,000 of them).
The new single "Zhyttia Tryvaie" brings together the sisters' unmistakable vocals, messages that resonate deeply with every Ukrainian, a hook that lodges itself in your mind, and words that offer hope.
ANNA MARIA on the new song:
"'Zhyttia Tryvaie' — the title itself says it all. It's the motto of every one of our days now. And that realization runs through you like a current, like an awakening. Life goes on! And that is where our strength lies.
We don't know what lies ahead, but every morning, even after a hard night, we keep moving forward, creating, loving... We no longer put off 'living.' We no longer put off feeling. And even though these are times when the world seems to be losing its mind, there is still hope: as long as love lives in the heart, life will prevail.
In the morning, bakers will bake bread, kindergarten teachers will greet the children, cafés will brew coffee, street sweepers will clean the streets... Life is here. And it goes on!"
In the music video, Anna and Maria show how the city keeps living and moving no matter what — and there is great strength in that motion. The video was shot in Kyiv; its director is Misha Manastyrskyi (SAPA production).
Maria: "We want our songs to resonate as closely as possible with people's state of mind, to speak to them 'in the same language.' Talking with friends and acquaintances lately, we noticed how often one phrase comes up: 'no matter what, life goes on...' And we realized: there is a truth in that phrase that all of us understand. The lyrics by the talented Olena Yakovenko won us over — they capture exactly how each of us feels right now. Those words struck a chord immediately. What matters most is that there's hope in them — hope that everyone needs, and that you want to hold onto like a lifeline."
"Life goes on as long as the front line holds the border" — with these powerful words, the sisters express their gratitude to Ukraine's defenders. And not only in words: Anna and Maria frequently travel to the front line to give concerts for soldiers, and regularly perform in hospitals for wounded fighters. Lyrics that strike you with their truth and sincerity. Music that carries a pulse — a symbol of motion, and of life.
